Past Trips

Introducing some temporary members to the rest of the crew we saddled up and convoyed out to the little town of Licola. With everyone but me keeping an eye on my speed, thanks to a faulty speedo still plaguing me from the desert, we continued out of town and up along the heavy corrugated road to Arbuckle Junction.

Meeting up at the Warburton Bakery early on Saturday morning, I can tell you they were all
the rage to take the chill from the air. Greetings all round we also welcomed a couple of
visitors of the club to the trip

Friday night’s campsite saw a staggered entry to camp. Daniel was able to head up early and reserve a cosy little campsite next to the creek. Little setup meant a quick pack up the next morning. Luckily with the campsite being quite close to Mansfield, people were able to head back into town to get last minute forgotten supplies. We had the club’s Xmas get together up at Run Amuk over the weekend.  The weather started off good on Saturday but as midday arrived things started to go pear shaped! We managed to eat lunch with one hand holding down the shelter but the writing was on the wall. We met on a chilly and foggy Saturday morning at the Mansfield Coffee Merchant. By the time we’d fuelled up on coffee and bacon and egg sandwiches it had turned into a beautiful sunny day. Shooting around Eildon we broke off the main drag at Jamieson. Driving up steep and windy hill we turned onto Mt Terrible Tk to air down and start the day.
