An exploratory trip to an area I have never explored before!
The plan is to meet at Yarragon and then travel to just past Icy Creek to some tracks I noticed a little while ago, some traversing the hills around Blue Rock dam. New tracs shows them as blue and green tracks but I guess that depends on the amount of rain falling leading up to the trip.
While I am not expecting anything too hard attendees need to acknowledge that some challenges may pop up that we will need to negotiate. There will definitely be a river crossing or two and all rivers seem to run well in this area.
Saturday night we will camp in the area, possibly alongside a river if the spots I noticed are free.
Sunday morning I am anticipating a relaxed start, a couple of hours 4wdriving before travelling down the mountain to ‘The Irish’ pub at Willow Grove for a pub meal. The drive back to Berwick from Willow Grove is approx 1hr 15min so not too far.
Those wanting to just come for the pub meal on Sunday are very welcome. I am hoping to be at the pub circa 12.30pm. The town overlooks Blue Rock lake which is also a great place to spend some time at swimming, fishing, boating, sailing etc etc
I suspect that we will need to book a table at the Irish so numbers will be needed. PLEASE CONFIRM BY WEDNESDAY 4 SEPT IF YOU COMING TO JOIN US FOR A MEAL.
